Agency Check by Cyber Strategy Institute

Check this first.

A second look before your agent buys, sends, books, or shares something for you. What is supported, what is still unknown, and one next step.

20 free checks a month. Pro from $9 a month. Works in Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Muse.

An agent offers to buy headphones for $229. The Decision Card shows the listed price as supported, shipping and returns as unknown, and one next step.

The problem

Agents make it easy to say yes.

Your agent can find the headphones, draft the reply, fill in the form, and book the table in seconds. Most of the time that is great.

Sometimes there is a detail worth one more look: a return policy, who is on the thread, a field the form did not need, a "done" that is not done yet. Agency Check finds that detail and hands it back to you.

The orange rule: orange marks the detail worth a second look.

How it works

Share it. Get a second look. Take the next step.

Step one, share it. Step two, get a second look. Step three, take the next step.
1 · Share it

Paste a quote, a draft, or what your agent suggested. In Muse, just say "Check this first."

2 · Get a second look

It sorts what is supported from what is still unknown, and puts it on one Decision Card.

3 · Take the next step

One practical action. Copy it back to your agent, or make the call yourself.

Three honest answers

No scores. No green lights.

Agency Check never gives a verdict. It tells you what it could and could not confirm.

State one

Ready to review

The card is complete. Read the tradeoff and take the next step. You still decide.

State two

Clarify one thing

One missing detail would change the answer. Just one question. Your agent sends the same check again with the answer.

State three

Pause and verify

Something important cannot be confirmed yet. Verify before you go ahead.

The three Decision Card states: Ready to review, Clarify one thing, Pause and verify.
Three Decision Card screens in an agent chat.

The orange rule

Orange marks what is worth a second look.

  • The asteriskCosts the price leaves out
  • The extra switchAccess the task may not need
  • The timerPressure to act right now
  • The gapA claim with no proof yet

Orange never means good or bad. It means look here.

Receipt example

"Booked." Or just requested?

Your agent says it is done. The evidence says the request was received. The card shows the gap and the one next step: ask for the confirmation number.

Every check can produce a signed receipt (Ed25519) that holds hashes and the outcome only, never what you shared.

Illustrative example: the agent says Booked, the evidence shows Request received, and the card asks for the confirmation number.
Illustrative. Names and details are made up.

Who uses it

Built for the moments agents handle for you.

Shoppers

Before the buy

Delivered price, return window, the renewal after month three.

Families

Before the send

Who is on the thread, what a sign-up form really needs, the "new number" text.

Builders

Before the connect

Access an app asks for that the task does not need. Pinned rulesets and receipts.

Solo operators

Before the hire

What a quote includes, what it leaves out, and the deposit terms.

Everything else we keep, and for how long
  • D1 keeps the user row until the account is deleted. That row is a pseudonymous id, which sign-in produced it, the plan, the terms and privacy versions accepted, the creation time, and the last day seen.
  • D1 keeps connections until the account is deleted.
  • D1 keeps consents until the account is deleted.
  • D1 keeps the entitlement until the account is deleted. That row holds the same pseudonymous id, the plan, the product, the status, the billing interval, the current period end, whether cancellation is at the period end, the Stripe customer id, the Stripe subscription id, disputed Stripe subscription ids, and the time the row last changed.
  • Revoked agent IDs are kept while the account exists and are deleted with the account.
  • The session generation counter is kept with no expiry, including after account deletion, so a cookie from before deletion does not match.
  • The intro marker is kept with no expiry, including after account deletion, so a later subscription is not treated as a first Pro subscription. It records the first Pro subscription id and the end of the first calendar month of that subscription, or that this account does not get an intro.
  • D1 keeps a salted hash of the network bucket for a new account until that signup window ends, and never longer than 90 days. The network address is not stored.
  • D1 keeps an internal note when new accounts or checks jump above a trailing baseline. The note is the day, the count, the baseline, and the time it was written. It is kept up to 90 days and stays on this service.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Still stuck? Write to success@cyberstrategyinstitute.com.

What counts as a check?

One agency_check call is one check. Follow-ups that answer a Clarify question, describe_ruleset, explain_rule and get_receipt are free.

When does my allowance reset?

All plans reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). Pro starts with 300 checks in your first month, then 50 a month.

Do I need a card for Free?

No. Sign in with Google and you get 20 checks a month.

Is yearly really cheaper?

Yes. Pro yearly is $79. Twelve months at $9 is $108, so yearly saves you $29.

Can I cancel?

Yes, anytime from Manage billing on your account. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. A first purchase, monthly or yearly, can be refunded in full within 14 days.

Will it tell me if something is a scam?

It shows the pressure cues and what cannot be confirmed yet, and suggests a way to check. The decision stays yours.

Why no scores?

A number hides the reasons. The card shows you the reasons, so you can decide with them.

Does it stop my agent?

No. Agency Check never contacts anyone, blocks anything, or acts for you. You decide.

What happens to what I share?

Content you send is processed in memory and is never stored. Receipts hold hashes and the outcome only.

Is Agency Check made by Meta?

No. It is made by Cyber Strategy Institute. It works with Muse and with other agents as a connector.
